Course Description

Learn how to identify and engage in crisis interventions. Participants will gain improved mental health for themselves as well as a greater recognition and understanding of mental health problems. Upon completion participants will be empowered to engage in a dialog with someone with an emerging mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.

Course Objectives

  • Recognize the symptoms of mental health problems

  • Provide help to prevent the mental health problem from worsening

  • Guide the person to more appropriate professional help

  • Provide the recovery of good mental health

  • Provide comfort to a person experiencing a mental health problem

    MHFA does not teach people to be therapists.
